Gatorland is a wildlife preserve of 110-acres. It serves as a theme park and zoo to help take care of the animals that it houses, and to educate the public. It was opened in 1949. They offer a chance to go into the swamp with alligators on their Adventure Hour Tour, the chance to see hungry red eyes looking back at you during the safe but scary Gator Night Shine, and a chance to zip through the treetops on the Screamin' Gator Zip Line adventure.

They also provide entertainment with programs like the “Up Close Encounters” where you are never sure what kind of animal you will be seeing up close, or the “Gator Wrestlin' Show,” where you’ll wonder if the wranglers are truly brave or just foolish. The “Gator Jumparoo Show” will show you the power of alligators as they jump high enough for their food to take it from the trainers’ hand.

There is also an aviary and petting zoo at Gatorland. They also offer Group Tours and Events that include Off-Property Events like Wrangler on the Way packages. Other options are Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Scout Programs, and Teambuilding Events. There is an average of about 90,000 visitors to the park each year, according to wanderbat.com.
